Futurekids, Inc. partners with S4F Technologies to bring innovative educational technology solution to the K-12 marketplace

LONG BEACH, Calif. October 22, 2001) – Futurekids, Inc., a leading global provider of education technology solutions with offices in over 65 countries, has partnered with S4F Technologies, a leader in Internet filtering technology. Through the partnership, Futurekids will offer its own version of S4F’s proprietary filtering solution to K-12 schools and districts both domestically and abroad.

”As the number of schools coming online reaches critical mass, it becomes imperative to ensure that our children are not exposed to pornography, and other harmful material online,” says Alex Kaplan, Futurekids CEO.

“We are excited about Futurekids’ entry into the filtering space. We are confident that our two companies can work together to meet the increased demands for filtering in the marketplace,” said Christian Ophus, President of S4F Technologies.

Schools in the United States are required to comply with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) in order to remain eligible for eRate funding. Futurekids’ S4F filtering meets the requirements of CIPA.

The partnership will allow both companies to meet the rapidly growing demand for filtering solutions domestically. Futurekids has worked with thousands of schools around the world to help them establish best practices for technology and its effective use in the classroom.

Futurekids will also use its global presence to offer the product internationally through its existing sales and marketing channels.

“The need for filtering solutions internationally is equal to, if not greater than, the needs domestically. We have the ability to meet these demands due to our international reach,” says Alex Kaplan .

Because of S4F’s proprietary technology, Futurekids will be able to easily export the filtering service around the world.
