Universal promotion of key social-emotional abilities
Targeted prevention of risky behaviors – from bullying to substance abuse
Individualized intervention with students who need supportive discipline or counseling
  Ripple Effects Coach for Implementers Module I: Nuts and bolts training for personal to use in facilitating the camps, clubs and family interactions.
  Ripple Effects Coach for Implementers Module II: Managing Diverse Learners - Supporting staff differentiating and working the individual men in the context of their rehabilitation, job training programs, and life skills programs through identification in working with their individual learning styles, behaviour issues, health concerns, and emotional concept issues.
  Ripple Effects Coach for Implementers Module III: Strengthening Leadership – This training will enable staff to learn how to infuse seven core socio-emotional abilities: self-knowledge, empathy, assertiveness, community, impulse control, emotional control, and decision making into their support of the homeless men in the program as they work through their reentry to the community.

Ripple Effects for Kids is a research-based tool to help children build resilience and handle the non-academic issues that get in the way of school success. 140 engaging, interactive, reading-independent tutorials build key social-emotional abilities that are more connected to school success than IQ: self-understanding, empathy, impulse control, management of feelings, assertiveness, decision-making and connection to community. The result is kids who know themselves, stand up for their beliefs, solve problems, feel for and connect with diverse others -- and do well in school.

Ripple Effects for Teens is an evidence-based, reading-independent tool and includes 390 reading independent tutorials that provide individualized guidance that zeroes in on the particular risk and protective factors that affect student behavior, motivation, learning and connectedness. It provides cognitive-behavioral training to turn students around. While recognizing risks, the program focuses on building strengths, especially in core social-emotional abilities that are correlated with academic achievement and resilience.

Teaching Coach
 
Ripple Effects for Staff provides “just in time” professional development for teachers, counselors and other school personnel. More than 1600 multi-media screens comprise 136 multi-media tutorials, which include Video True stories from dozens of teachers. The lessons can be accessed on a “need to know,” time critical basis, or can be completed in sequence. Certification is available from Ripple Effects for completion. The program has also been accredited by Long Island University, and is currently being reviewed by Teacher’s College, as the core of Dr. Robin Stern’s on-line course on Educational Leadership through Social-Emotional Competence. It can be completed for graduate credit, upon payment of additional fees. Resources offered include disk-based, rich media content, plus web-based access to additional resources, from class room posters to individual treatment plans.
